About Our Practice
Our practice was founded by four dedicated professionals united by a shared commitment to serving others and a genuine love for working together. Our journey began in 2014 when we all worked together for the Department of the Navy. Over time, our careers took us to different duty stations and roles, but the idea of one day creating something together never left us. Nearly eight years later, fate brought us all back to the DMV. It was the perfect time to bring our vision to life.
Neurobehavioral Health Services (NBHS) is something meaningful—rooted in our shared values, experience, and enduring friendship. The primary purpose of NBHS is to operate a behavioral health center, providing psychological, neuropsychological, and affiliated healthcare services to patients. We will serve the community by providing high-quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan.
Neuropsychology Evaluations
A neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, conducted by a licensed clinical neuropsychologist with specialized training in brain-behavior relationships. Neuropsychological evaluations are used to:
- Diagnose neurological, developmental, or psychiatric conditions
- Identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses
- Guide treatment planning, educational or vocational accommodations
- Monitor changes in cognitive functioning over time (e.g., after injury or treatment)
