Evaluations for Children and Adolescents
In-depth evaluations to help understand learning, behavioral, or emotional challenges in children, teens, and young adults who are still in school.
NBHS provides evaluations for the following concerns for children as young as 6-years-old:
Concerns We Address
- Difficulties with academics, such as reading, writing, and math
- Developmental Delays
- Concerns with attention and concentration
- Behavioral issues, such as impulse control, hyperactivity, or defiance
- Rapid mood changes
- Emotional concerns, such as depression and anxiety
- Issues related to school, such as test performance and following directions
- Memory problems
- Executive functioning deficits, such as poor organization, poor time management, and inability to complete tasks
Conditions We Evaluate
We evaluate for the following conditions (including but not limited to):
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Learning Disabilities
- Post-concussion Syndrome
- Psychiatric and psychological disorders
- Medical or health conditions that can impact the brain (such as epilepsy, hydrocephalus, genetic disorders)
- Sleep disorders
