Our Policies
Important information about appointments, payments, privacy, and more.
Appointments
• We kindly request that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to ensure we have the maximum time with you to provide good care. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your appointment time, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment.
• We understand that conflicts arise. Should this happen, we request at least 48 hours notice that you need to reschedule. This allows for other waiting families the opportunity to be seen sooner. We will reschedule your appointment as soon as our schedule allows.
Financial
• We do not accept insurance, but can provide a Superbill to submit to insurance, if requested.
• Due to the individual nature of evaluations, you will be informed of the cost during the first phone call.
• Full payment is expected prior to each appointment. Payments will be broken up into two increments:
◦ The first is due prior to the Intake/Clinical Evaluation appointment.
◦ The remainder is due prior to the Testing appointment.
• Payments accepted: debit card, personal check, and all major credit cards.
Privacy
• Your safety and privacy is our priority. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of all medical records in accordance with HIPAA, the State of Maryland, and the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association.
• All information gathered during the evaluation is kept strictly confidential and will only be shared with a signed release from the patient or their parent/guardian, or when disclosure is legally mandated (e.g., by court order).
Severe Weather Policy
• In the event of severe weather, we will contact you to discuss rescheduling or, when feasible, transitioning to a virtual appointment. The safety of you, your family, and our staff is our top priority.
